Whilst corticosteroids are now recommended for COVID-19 patients who require respiratory report, there are outstanding clinical questions, such as the rate of adverse events, the optimal dose and duration of treatment, and the threshold of severity for prescribing corticosteroids. The studies on corticosteroids in COVID have been conducted outside of Africa. This webinar will review the evidence-base, identify challenges in translating this evidence to clinical practice in Africa, and outline a translational research agenda.
